I'LL BE AROUND
Against the backdrop of a small post-punk music festival, dozens of thirty-somethings deal with a wide variety of social and philosophical issues in their respective lives, from missing guitars to generational angst and premature ejaculation.
BACKGROUND:
After an eight-year long hiatus from feature filmmaking to focus on music, Mike Cuenca tackled this ambitious project. I’LL BE AROUND follows one-hundred alt-rock-loving characters over the course of a day, split in two chapters (Side A + Side B) to resemble an album. Side A introduces the characters in the day, showcasing how they’re all connected while Side B presents the repercussions.
