BOYS ABOUT TOWN
Bobby and Calvin are two powerpop fans in their twenties. Bobby is introverted and inexperienced. Calvin is his best friend and sex-obsessed. Their story is told in a series of episodes over the course of six years and four feature films.
BACKGROUND:
Cuenca wrote the first vignette in the series while working on ‘Oblivion’ in 2009. It wasn’t until he met actors Joaquin Dominguez and Cole Ready that he was inspired to finally work on the series. It was shot in real time from 2018 to 2024 to allow the actors to age naturally on camera.
In the meantime, Cuenca made an additional five movies: I’ll Be Around, Like a Dirty French Novel, Watch Them Come Blood, In the Ditch, Odium for Ardor.
